Charity shop serendipity

After buying the teak furniture, I'm having a little revamp in the bedroom, mainly using things I already own, but I needed a new bedside lamp and really wanted a mustard one. I'd seen a few but they were either too small or too expensive.

Today I had a quick trip to the charity shop, and there on the shelf was the brown lamp in the photo, priced at £4.50. It even had a bulb in it.

I realised that I could move the teak lamp with the mustard shade from the living room up to the bedroom, and use the brown lamp in its place.

It was only when I looked at the photo that I realised that the shape of the lamp echoes the shapes in the wallpaper. 

The dental latest is that I feel much better today after 3 of the latest antibiotics ( 2 a day for 5 days). The bruising has almost gone, but there's still some swelling. However, I tried to smile yesterday and I look as if I've had a stroke, as the right hand side of my mouth refuses to turn upwards. I have no idea how long this will last, or if it could be permanent. I'll speak to the surgeon on Monday.
