Today I had a quick trip to the charity shop, and there on the shelf was the brown lamp in the photo, priced at £4.50. It even had a bulb in it.
I realised that I could move the teak lamp with the mustard shade from the living room up to the bedroom, and use the brown lamp in its place.
It was only when I looked at the photo that I realised that the shape of the lamp echoes the shapes in the wallpaper.
The dental latest is that I feel much better today after 3 of the latest antibiotics ( 2 a day for 5 days). The bruising has almost gone, but there's still some swelling. However, I tried to smile yesterday and I look as if I've had a stroke, as the right hand side of my mouth refuses to turn upwards. I have no idea how long this will last, or if it could be permanent. I'll speak to the surgeon on Monday.

You have an eye for finding the right pieces. I'm glad you're seeing a bit of improvement but definitely things to discuss with dentist.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky to find it, and glad that I realised I could move things round.
DeleteThat lamp looks so perfect with the wallpaper and the little dish alongside it. I do hope your improvement continues.
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy with it, and the teak obe that it replaced looks good in the bedroom too.
DeleteWhat a lucky find!
ReplyDeleteVery lucky! I haven't been to that charity shop for months.
