Negatives #1

Broken hearts heal with time, but broken teeth never do.
Joe Abercrombie

Over the last week, one of my crowned teeth didn't feel 'right'. Last night a piece broke off, and the crown fell out. I was lucky not to swallow it. It will have to be replaced. I'm fortunate to be an NHS patient, but it will still cost £326.70. I have an appointment booked in June, as a tooth that had a root canal filling years ago now needs to be crowned. It's next to the one that was removed with dental surgery on 30th December, so can't be repaired until the hole from that has fully healed and my gum shape is stable.

I've put the crown back in using an emergency repair kit bought at Boots last night.
The question is, do I pay £326.70 to have it replaced now, and then another £326.70 in June, or do I wait, hope it doesn't get infected, and have both crowns done at the same time in June for just tge one charge of £326.70?

To be honest, apart from the cost, I don't think I've got it in me yet to sit in a dentist's chair.
The trauma and brutality of that extraction in December is still too raw.
