Who needs therapy when you have interior design?

Our caravan bedroom is finished except for the cushion I'm currently stitching, and some tiebacks... I've just tucked the curtains behind the hook for now.

It was spotlessly clean and serviceable when we bought the caravan, so I bought the cheapest red bedding I could find as I knew I would want to change things this year; all of the curtains here are just not our taste at all.

The duvet covers are Habitat in Sainsbury's; pure cotton and reduced to £12 each. I also bought a double size one to make the curtains... that was either £12 or £14.

 I used both sides of the duvet cover and pieced them as there wasn't enough fabric in just one side to make the curtains. I lined them with a brand new sheet bought at Emmaus for £4, and used heading tape that I already had.

The fabric for the 'headboard' was just short of £9 in Abakhan, and there's loads left ... I needed 2m for the length, but it's wide furnishing fabric, and so I only used a narrow strip. I could have bought less and pieced it but felt that would have spoilt things for the sake of a few pounds.

The pictures, plant pot, fake plant, and cushion have all been in my possession for years. I'm still stitching the cushion front for the other bed.

The total spent was around the £50 mark.

The room is now much more 'us', doing it has sparked joy, and has dulled down the food noise that plagues me.

The double bedroom, and the little one's bedroom have also been changed, which just leaves the living room... it's my next project.
