Positives #36 Negatives #15

Picked from the allotment on Wednesday evening... raspberries, blackberries, courgettes, tomatoes, potatoes
I picked 4 varieties of apples, and a couple of pears off one of the trees. Some will be cooked and frozen. It's a job for tomorrow.

Smoked mackerel salad

I ate this a few times while at the caravan. The salad leaves and cucumber were yellow stickered, the tomatoes were grown in the raised bed we created, and the mackerel and beetroot came from Lidl.

Good food from the allotment and (some) good food choices made by me, though restriction of variety is creeping back in as a means of gaining some control, which is less good.

I was told last week to keep my phone with me as the CT department would contact me that way about my mum's appointment, so that's what I've done. I've worried myself sick about missing the call and haven't  even been for a wee without taking my phone. We haven't gone to the caravan this weekend because I didnt want to get the call and have to turn around and come back again as we were told they scan 7 days a week and it could be at short notice.

Today, my mum received the appointment by letter... again, it is just within the 2 week window.

  1. Our veggies this year were rubbish. We got two servings of beans before they gave up. Tomatoes were constantly dying but we managed to get a few pounds, which were lovely. Bramble I think has a virus as it’s sickly but nothing I give it helps, but it still produces. Finally got some late lettuce growing. Did you get my email?

    1. Sorry Dc, I've only just seen this. Yes, thank you for email. I'll reply once I know what's going on with my mum. Have just subscribed... I need to work through and catch up.
