I had a call today to say my operation has been cancelled. I suspected that might be the case as nothing is ever straightforward.
I've got a new date for next month, which happens to be my husband's last day at work.
We'll wait and see if it happens then.
Suspected maybe, but still infuriating. I hope it's not cancelled next time. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Sooze. It's hard being psyched up and then it not happening, but the silver lining is that I'll be fit to get the caravan sorted this weekend, and our bedroom will be tidy and clear when the operation does happen.
DeleteOH I am so sorry. Frustrating to get all emotionally prepared then have this happen. My OH was expecting his 'urgent' treatment in April, and has just found out he will have a much longer wait now...
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela. I'm just hoping it doesn't flare too much over the next 4 weeks. I'm sorry Bob's treatment has been delayed. I saw the GP about something else this morning and came away feeling fobbed off, and having checked the app shed put somethingvery misleadingon there that I had to ring to get amended, and J has had 3 text messages from them, each one conflicting with the last. We're heartily sick of medical issues atm.
DeleteWhat a shame, especially as you had prepared yourself for this. Happens all too often unfortunately. How did they take J's resignation letter? Take care. Xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Gill. I had a feeling it wouldn't go ahead, so wasnt at all surprised by the phone call. J's resignation went in today as he doesn't work on Mondays. His manager was surprised.
DeleteThat's so frustrating for you, fingers crossed it's not postponed again. And I'm sure that handing in his resignation has lifted a weight from your husbands shoulders - it will be good for you both to spend more time together.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joan. Since handing it in the management team have given him the silent treatment!
