Travelling- it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller

My elder daughter sent me this photograph earlier this week... it was the view from her hotel room window. She's currently road tripping around Italy with her husband. Today, they're en route to Pompeii, having also been in Florence and Rome this week.
I'm overjoyed that they've finally made it there... the 2020 trip that they'd planned so meticulously had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.
They are well travelled, but this is the trip that I wish I was on. Never mind, I will travel vicariously through her photographs, and the stories they will tell of their adventure.
Our 2020 trip was also cancelled, we had booked a cruise around the Norwegian fjords to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday but unfortunately he's now too unwell to travel.
