I left a comment over at SAM's earlier about having a lot to do, but not being able to settle to anything as I'm waiting for my mum's results.
I thought maybe I should make a wish list of jobs to do and see how I got on.
The crumble has been made, as has the soup. Two more of the doors and doorframes in the hallway have been painted, with 3 left to do. I've done the washing. I've weeded the gravelled area in the front garden and I've refitted the kickboard.
None of the things I've done took too long, but I feel better for having done them. The courgettes, apples and kickboard are no longer hanging around in the kitchen, the gravel looks better as do the doors and frames and the washing has dried in the sun.
Tomorrow, I plan to lay some new vinyl flooring in the toilet. I bought a nice offcut today for £20. The room measures 1 metre by 1.2 metres at its longest point and has the toilet in there. It's going to be tricky, but I'll use the old stuff as a template. My husband doesn't know I've bought the vinyl, but I can't look at the stuff he messed up any longer! He really wasn't in the mood for doing it, and it shows. I've tolerated it for a long time, but no longer. Fingers crossed, I will do a better job... I've watched a lot of videos about how to do it!

good luck with the flooring in the toilet tomorrow. Making a list and checking things off when done, is a great way of being accountable!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gill. I've finished it, and its quite good for a first attempt. I finished some more painting, too.
DeleteSo satisfying to tick items off your 'to do' list, I hope laying that vinyl goes well - it's not an easy job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joan. It was a tussle, and trying to trim behind the toilet made me glad that I have the wingspan of a pterodactyl!
