Small changes

The chairs at the kitchen table needed to be replaced, and I decided that stools would be a good, neat solution.

I couldn't find any secondhand so began an online search. Black stools were either sold out or too expensive, but Dunelm had some emerald green ones for £4 each in the sale...

I ordered 2 online and collected them, then used spray paint from the garage, and faux leather left over from revamping my teak chairs, to transform them into something that matches the kitchen better...

  1. You are very clever and skilled to figure out the stool solution. £4 a stool seems like second hand prices so worth upcycling to your needs.

    1. Thanks SAM. I was fortunate to have the leftover materials to revamp them.

  2. We got 4 red stools like that in 1965. We used them to sit round the tiny kitchen table for breakfast, then stacked them neatly before going to school. Happy memory! Thank you

    1. We had some brown ones in 1984! They're a perfect solution for around my 1950s kitchen table as wider chairs don't fit at the ends.
